Second Half 2026

The Second Half of the Decade

2026: NEW YEAR. NEW GOALS. NEW ME.

First up— Happy New Year! Hope you had a fulfilling 2025— not perfect, but I do hope you had another memorable year. I’m not going in detail because 2025 had a lot of troubles… just like the past. We may have more troubles again this year, but still, let’s do our best to live, be with our loved ones as much as we can, explore new discoveries, and even renew everything else we loved but abandoned because life happens.

I don’t normally do recaps on how my past year went because I’m more of a person who lives in the present and look forward to the future. But for this post, I’d like to do some recaps because there will be a big (?) announcement near the end of this post.

I’m a little late with this post because, again, life happened, but here I am now. On December 31st, 2024, I wrote my end of the year post and some goals planned for this site for 2025. I’ll go ahead an list them here, along with the current status of those goals:

  • Video game-related posts, whether it’s a game review or just personal thoughts about the game (Oh We GAMIN’!) Life happened. I barely even wrote on the blog itself the entire 2025. I even barely played video games this year too. But there are plans regarding this section, still debating about it just yet. We’ll see what happens!
  • A section about bujo/bullet journaling, from the materials I use to the types of content that I add (BU-Journaling) I tried… and failed. I purchased a lot of stencils, pens, and other materials for my attempt at bujos, however, work and other things got my mind exhausted that my enthusiasm for bujos just disappeared. My mind got exhausted, I became lazy. I have found another idea to continue on with my bujo, except it won’t be much of a bujo
  • Add more custom/handmade fonts for free downloads Same thing happened– life happened, and creativity got exhausted. I decided to focus more on improving my art even more, experimenting different styles, as well as trying to recover my “lost skills” at calligraphy and lettering.
  • I planned on creating a separate website for my art and treat it as a portfolio and blog. But from the looks of things, the blogging part would be here instead The domain(s) for the separate art portfolio site has been secured in 2025. I just need to start building them hopefully this year. The blogging part is something I’ll write about near the end of this post.
  • Beauty-related posts: When I still had The ADRICULOUS Life blog,I attempted to write posts about various K-beauty products that I discovered and regularly using. But, I never really understood, or did not have enough motivation, to write them. I abandoned the idea then. I’ll try again with this site, going for the no makeup makeup perspective. Nah. I think I’ll abandon this idea– for good. I’ll probably post about it sparingly in the blog, but a dedicated section? Honestly, I’ve been too lazy to keep up with my skincare routine that I’ve been looking for shortcuts for lazy nerdettes like me.
  • Sharing some Asian culture and history. Namely, Filipino culture. And some Japanese culture. Same with this one… probably not gonna happen, but will write about it sparingly, somehow.
  • Food-related posts. I’m in a way, a low-key foodie, but at the same time, I’m a diabetic with Type 2 diabetes. Still in the plans. This is actually one of my top goals for 2026.

WHAT I DID IN 2025

I guess this is where I actually do some reflection of 2025. Here’s what happened…

  • Hydroponic Gardening. Post here I have been using my hydroponic garden pretty much daily. In the beginning, I only planted mint leaves. I started planting vegetables I normally don’t buy in the grocery store, such as basil, arugula, mache (corn salad). They’re still growing, and planning to grow more this year.
  • I (re-)discovered AI. I’ve written many times before on how much anti-AI I am when it came to creative generative AI. I still am, by the way. However, AI is an emerging field and I have thought about what I’ve been doing with my job (plus, the fear of getting “replaced” by AI). I’ve had my first experience with AI back in 2023 during my Data Analytics Specialization program as a tool for job hunting and preparation. I thought of visiting AI again for job hunting and preparation (rebuilding my resume, improving my LinkedIn, draft cover letters, etc.), but I discovered more than just an automated job preparation tool. I found myself investing in the AI field, from prompt engineering, cybersecurity, ethics, and more, by going back to my Coursera account and enroll in these courses. I’m still studying right now, with the goal of serious job hunting this year.
  • Now I’ve mentioned the above item, I’m more of anti-IDGITS using AI to do all their creative work for them and taking credit. Seriously, the general public aren’t dumb enough to fall for that.
  • I built and rebuilt my old and current personal sites with AI assistance. I’m still learning how to code, and AI helped me supplement my learning and giving me challenges at the same time. Now, if I code and build things with code everyday, I probably wouldn’t need AI assistance. But as you can see, I’m a sporadic coder. I’ve been stuck with WordPress for years that I wanted to learn something new and a bit challenging. That was when I learned how to build sites with Hugo with AI assistance. Yes, there are many times AI has produced code slop, which makes things frustrating, but at the same time, it’s also a silver lining. It encourages me to clean up the code slop it generated, do major QA with it, and actually testing them. Because, my friends, AI is, first and foremost, A TOOL, not your personal assistant who would do things for you while you lie around being lazy and doing nothing. Life in general doesn’t work that way, whether you use AI or not.
  • Discovering Feather 3D. Feather 3D is an iPad-only illustration app that allows artists to draw in 3D. You draw as if you’re drawing on paper or your usual digital art apps like Procreate, but you can actually make your hand-drawn art in 3D view. I haven’t really started with it yet, but I purchased it for about $15 (one-time pay– mine forever) so I could learn how to use it later this year. I’m still learning how to draw, especially with character art, but by someone who only draws objects, scenery, and isometric view art, learning Feather may be a game-changer for me. We’ll see what happens~
  • Renewed Fandom. I took a hiatus from HOLOSTARS fandom for many reasons, but slowly and surely, I’m returning. I’m planning on rebuilding my old HOLOSTARS blog under a new domain sometime this year. Being active in social media is something I’m debating, but I have become active in a different way— becoming a member of the project archive project at Elysium Delivery Services (EDS) and also participated in a birthday project (can’t reveal it yet as of this point) by submitting an art piece for the first time. I look forward to participating in projects, but I don’t think I’ll be this active on social media. There’s still the holoplus app, after all.
  • Future Gelato/Sorbetto Maker? Not too long ago, I started getting into making homemade/handmade gelato. My sis gave me a sweet ice cream maker with a built-in compressor, so I could serve my dessert immediately. Other than purchasing allulose 1 and powdered milk, I used whatever I had at home. My first gelato project was Persimmon Gelato. It’s not perfect, I didn’t purèe the pulp enough, so there was still a bit of a grainy texture. I used Fuyu Persimmons because they’re sweet, crunchy, and ready to eat. I had my family taste test it, and despite the not-too-gelato-creamy texture, the persimmon flavor still remains.

That was my year in 2025. I’ve got goals for 2026, but that can wait a bit till later because…

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!

As part of my goals for 2026, the time has come. I’ve owned adrianne.space domain since 2024, and originally, it was going to be a temporary domain until I found a better one. Now is the time and I’ve already secured the new domain for my blog’s new home: adrianne.blog.

  • I wanted to be consistent with my domains, using my first name as its domain name. I’ve secured that for adrianne.io (tech portfolio portal), adrianne.codes (revival of my old coding blog/portfolio maybe), and adrianne.me (link-in-bio). The domain adrianne.space seems a little generic, but I had to purchase a blog domain after letting my old domain, adriculous.life, expire.
  • Second reason, I received an email from Namecheap of the price increase changes on certain domain extensions. Unfortunately, .space domains are affected. Seeing the new renewal price, it felt like it was the right time to make this move.
  • adrianne.space will expire in March 2026, with no plans of renewing it. I’ll make my migration to adrianne.blog very soon. Once I’ve completed the migration, I will redirect this domain to the new one. I’ll be sure to get this done soon before the domain expires. After that, I can continue on with my future projects from then on.

It’s 2026, so let’s brace ourselves. New and exciting things to come very soon!

See you at adrianne.blog soon!
